From Selkirk - From the A7 south of the town, take the road up over the golf course (A699). Turn right to Midlem and carry straight on this road until you reach a little bridge over the Ale Water at a cross-roads. Go straight over the bridge up the hill, down the dip then take the left turn at the top of the next hill at Chapel Farm. Take the next right sign-posted to Minto, Denholm, Standhill. Straight on for about 1 ½ miles past a turning on the left to Belses, past a cottage on the left (Greenhouse Cottage) and we are next left about 100 yards. (9 miles)

From Hawick - From the A7 just north of the town, take the right turn to Lilliesleaf (B6359) and continue on this road (sign-posted to Melrose) until you pass Newlands Farm on a corner. About ½ mile after this, take the straight-ahead road (sign-posted to Standhill) on a left-hand corner. Follow the road straight on (1 ½ miles) until you reach a T-junction. Turn left (towards Lilliesleaf) then immediately right into Greenhouse. (8 miles)

From Jedburgh - Take the A68 north and turn left into Ancrum village at the signpost. Follow the road (sign-posted Lilliesleaf) up through the village and continue on this road until you pass a house with large building attached called "Thermoglaze". Turn left after this house in front of the pink cottage on the road (Belses Cottage). Continue straight on up the hill and finally turn left at the T-junction. Pass Greenhouse Cottage on the road and take the next left entrance (about 100 yds) to Greenhouse. (10 miles)

From St Boswells and Kelso - Leave the A68 at St Boswells taking the A699 sign-posted Selkirk. At the next cross-roads take the left turn to Lilliesleaf (B6398). Follow this road until you reach a little bridge over the Ale Water at a cross-roads. Go sharp left over the bridge (sign-posted Lilliesleaf), up the hill, down the dip then take the left turn at the top of the next hill at Chapel Farm. Take the next right sign-posted to Minto, Denholm, Standhill. Straight on for about 1 ½ miles past a turning on the left to Belses, past a cottage on the left (Greenhouse Cottage) and we are next left about 100 yards. (9 miles)

From Melrose - Take the B6359 from the Market Square towards Lilliesleaf. Follow the road until you reach a cross-roads with the A699. Go straight on (B6359) and follow this road until you reach a little bridge over the Ale Water at a cross-roads. Go sharp left over the bridge (sign-posted Lilliesleaf), up the hill, down the dip then take the left turn at the top of the next hill at Chapel Farm. Take the next right sign-posted to Minto, Denholm, Standhill. Straight on for about 1 ½ miles past a turning on the left to Belses, past a cottage on the left (Greenhouse Cottage) and we are next left about 100 yards. (9 miles)

From Galashiels, Peebles etc. - Go south on the A7 into Selkirk. Follow the directions as for from Selkirk.

From Edinburgh - go south on A68 into St Boswells. Follow the directions as for From St Boswells or, go south on A7 into Selkirk. Follow the directions from there.

From Newcastle - travel north on A68 through Jedburgh. Follow the directions as for From Jedburgh.
